NounQuest is a language-learning app for Android that helps users learn concrete nouns through exercises, illustrations, repetition, and progress tracking.
We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information NounQuest stores locally, what information may be processed by third-party services used by the App, and how those services are used.

This includes information such as:
- Learning progress
- Learned words
- Completed exercises and lessons
- Streak information
- Learning statistics
- Selected language pairs
- Categories and progression
- Reminder settings and other App preferences
NounQuest does not require you to create an account to use its learning features.
We do not operate a server that stores your personal learning history or vocabulary progress.
If you uninstall NounQuest or clear its application data, locally stored learning data may be deleted by Android.
2. Analytics
NounQuest uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used and to help us improve the learning experience.
Analytics may collect information such as:
- App-instance identifiers
- Device and operating-system information

Google’s standard Firebase Analytics implementation can automatically collect app-instance identifiers, Advertising ID on Android, approximate location, device information, and app lifecycle/session information.
Analytics data is used for statistical and product-improvement purposes. We do not use Google Analytics to store your personal vocabulary database or learning history.
3. Crash reporting
NounQuest uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect, investigate, and fix crashes and technical problems.
Crashlytics may collect information such as:
- Crash reports and stack traces
- App version and application information
- Device model and operating-system information
- Technical device information
- Crash timestamps
- Installation identifiers
- Relevant application state around a crash
Firebase states that Crashlytics automatically collects crash traces, relevant application state, relevant device metadata, and a Crashlytics installation identifier.
Crash reporting helps us identify technical problems and improve the stability of NounQuest.
4. Advertising
NounQuest uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as device information, advertising identifiers, IP address or approximate location, ad interactions, and information needed to serve and measure advertisements.
Where required by applicable law, Google’s consent mechanisms may be used to obtain and manage consent for personalized advertising and related data processing.
Ad-related data may also interact with Google Analytics when the services are integrated. Google documents that AdMob and Firebase/Google Analytics can exchange information for advertising and monetization measurement purposes.
You can also control certain advertising and privacy settings through your Android device and Google’s available privacy controls.
5. Third-party services
NounQuest uses the following third-party services:

7. Sharing
NounQuest allows you to share your progress and interesting exercises using Android’s sharing functionality.

NounQuest does not control how another application handles content after you choose to share it.
8. Notifications and reminders
NounQuest can provide an optional daily learning reminder.
The reminder time and related preferences are stored locally on your device. You can change or disable reminders through the App or your Android notification settings.
9. Data security
Learning and progress information is stored locally on your device.
Information transmitted to third-party services such as Google Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and AdMob is handled through those providers’ systems. Google states that Firebase data is encrypted in transit and that applicable Firebase services use additional security measures.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Data retention
NounQuest does not maintain a server-side copy of your personal learning progress.
Third-party services may retain technical, analytics, advertising, or crash-related information according to their own retention policies and terms.
For example, Firebase states that Crashlytics crash-related information and associated identifiers are retained for a period before removal from its systems.
